PS3 for Europe has NO PS2 hardware support for ps2 games !!
Thats right * Stop the Press * dont sell your PS2 if your wanting to keep your ps2 games for when you buy a PS3 !!!!!
Unfortunatly im seeing more reports on Sonys specs for PS3 for Europe that leave me concered....
Aparently the Euro PS3 has no hardware support for ps2 games :( insted it uses emulation which just aint up to a real ps2 console standard.
So best hold on to your PS2 consoles if you intend to keep your PS2 games come the lauch of PS3.
The Japan PS3 however does have hardware PS2 support and plays the PS2 DVDs fine etc, ffs typical of Sony !!
Not sure about USA versions yet, but if you wanted to get rid of you PS2 in favour for playing you old PS2 games on PS3 etc buy an Jap inport i guess !!??
